Bradford vs Swansea, Wembley Stadium

24th Feb 2013

One event we are particularly excited about in London is the Capital One Cup on the 24th of February. This year, Swansea City will take on Bradford City. Bradford City, the underdogs, will be making their first major cup final in 101 years.

Who are you rooting for?!

For the sake of how thrilling it is for Bradford to be there, it is worth stating the obvious facts. Bradford City has become the first team from English football’s fourth tier to reach the final of this competition since Rochdale in 1962 and along the way has defeated three Premier League teams - Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

As exciting as it is for Bradford to be in the cup, Swansea City has also had a fairytale story of their own! Since their arrival in the premiere league the team has constantly been perceived as the underdogs. However, after defeating Reading in last year’s championship play-off final, Swansea has been working hard to defend their title. It is not very often in sports, that you are able to watch two teams such as these emerge to the final cup.
