The Olympics may be the greatest sporting event in London this year, but here’s your chance to see or even take part in one of the most traditional British races.
Every year on Shrove Tuesday, teams around the country compete in their local Pancake Day Races and London is no exception. Join all the fun in Brick Lane for the Great Spitalfields Pancake Race. Then, tuck in at the Water Poet pub in Shoreditch, where all manner of sweet and savoury pancakes will be served.
