Royal Ascot - Horse Racing
It’s that time again… Time for the age old tradition of a procession of fancy and outrageous hats and really fast horses. Founded by Queen Anne in 1711, Royal Ascot dates back 300 years and is attended by the Royal Family, including Her Majesty the Queen. Royal Ascot features a daily horse-drawn procession from Windsor Castle to Ascot Racecourse led by the Royal carriage.
Racing highlights of Royal Ascot include the Golden Jubilee Stakes and the Gold Cup. Prize money for the week totals millions of pounds!
There are three levels of tickets for each day of Royal Ascot: Silver Ring tickets, Grandstand tickets and Royal Enclosure badges. Silver Ring tickets are the cheapest tickets to Royal Ascot. There is no formal dress code, so it’s a great way to catch all the racing action on a budget. Grandstand tickets give you access to excellent facilities and entertainment, including military bands and a traditional sing-a-long after racing each day. Access to the Royal Enclosure at Ascot is restricted to those who have been sponsored by a member of the Royal family or have received a special invitation from The Queen!
Attended by Royalty and Celebrities, Royal Ascot is a prestigious event that is a highlight on London’s Events calender. Celebrities that have been know to attend in the past are; Amanda Holden, Joan Collins, Jamie & Louise Redknapp, Roxanne Pallett, David and Victoria Beckham, to name a few.
