Story of London 2010

Story of London is a Londonwide festival that celebrates the capital both as a place of heritage and culture and as a cutting edge city of change a new ideas.

Following the success of the first festival in 2009, this year Story of London returns from 1-10 October with a theme of innovation and the future.

More than 100 events are expected to take place across all 33 boroughs of the city at venues such as the Handel House Museum, the Royal College of Surgeons and museums, galleries and performance arts centers across the capital.

During ten days, visitors can find exhibitions, guided walks, workshops, film screenings and poetry readings. Highlights of the 2010 festival include a talk by Billy Bragg and architect Sir Terry Farrell at the British Library, a lecture by environmentalist Sir Crispin Tickell at the Museum of London and a poetic recital by John Hegley.
