1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer at some stage in their life.  Cancer is non-discriminate and with the recent news of Patrick Swayze, we realize how vulnerable we all are to the disease and the impact it can have on our lives.

Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity that has been providing practical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer and their families since 1911.  Macmillan is a force for change, listening to people affected by cancer and working together to improve cancer care. By 2010, Macmillan hopes to help every single person diagnosed with cancer, regardless the type of cancer, where they live, or type of support they require. 

The umi Family has first hand experience in understanding and coping with this deadly and destructible disease which is why this cause is so important to us.
