Wimbledon 2011

Wimbledon is the world’s longest-running and most prestigious tennis tournament and is one of four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments held around the world. This year the 2 week event will commence on the 20th of June 2011.

The best players from more than 60 nations compete in front of a crowd of millions worldwide, through the press, radio, internet and television. The tournament attracts around 500,000 spectators and millions of television viewers worldwide. Wimbledon is one of the only major sporting events that offers spectators the chance to buy premium tickets on the day. During the tournament, Approximately 500 tickets are available on days one to nine for Centre Court and No.2 Court. People who wish to watch the tournament from these courts will have to turn up early and be prepared to queue to be able to get a seat. The outer courts still have some great games, and tickets are available for those too.
